Commercial

Rec to Tek also undertakes commercial diving operations. Most commercial diving is underwater construction, destruction or recovery projects.  Underwater commercial operations require knowledge and skills in project planning, welding, rigging, geometry, physics, and underwater physiology in extreme conditions. Combined with topside experience of certified crane operations, professional rigging, millwright services, certified welding, and heavy machinery moving, Rec to Tek is a full service provider.

An example of one of our jobs: pictures coming soon

Job Location: CS Pond #1 Ft Wayne, IN.

Site Conditions: EPA class 3 contamination, USN class 2 contamination, Visibility Zero

Job Description: Remove 250’ of sheet piling and structure.

Job consisted of some topside removal using 150 ton crane, work barge, work platform, rigging and cutting equipment. Then the rest was removed with crane, work barge, rigging and underwater cutting equipment. This was a good job to be involved with as the contractor, ProLime, was great to work for. They are a very safety conscience company. The work barge team consisted of safety divers, communication officer, line tenders and deck hands. They preformed these duties along with many others at a very professional level.  The barge support team consisted of Rick Lambert, Barrie Pence- Weicht, and Marcy Stahl. Other folks I had the privilege to work with on this project were,  John Chapman (very good crane operator) and Tom Trebonik (superintendent for ProLime). I would work for Tom on any project where he needed us.

This was a team effort and it took all of us. I was blessed with an AWESOME team on this project.

Thanks to each one of you.
