Recent Local Diving
Line Drills;July 18,2010
Had a great time today at Gilboa working on line
drills and knocking some rust off a few drills in
preparation for upcoming cave trips. 100 min+
dive with water temps in the high 70's. Click on
the link for a slideshow of the days activity.
Don's camera was D.O.A. due to unusual fogging issues so today
we only have stills to share. We hope you enjoy
the following images...and remember, if you would like
to get in on some of the fun you seen within these
pages, contact Tim for upcoming classes.

Tech. Rescue Skill Dives:
July 11,2010
At a super-secret, undisclosed private quarry
somewhere in the Eastern time zone, the team of Rec to
Tek (led by Tim Stahl) gathered to work on a number of
skills. It was a great day of diving with some
obscenely warm water temps (82 degrees).

Group shot from left to right: Marcy Stahl (who
was there in spirit), Tim Stahl (illustrious
leader), George Geier (who had
to leave before picture was taken), Sandi
Chapman (alright Don I'm tired of being
inverted) and Don Costanza (my
bad Sandi, Tim stop laughing) |

July 31st. Tech Dives at Gilboa: |
|
Technical diving will give you a solid skill set
regardless of your diving interest...from "cave"
to "wreck" to "fun dives" at the local quarry. A
technical foundation will make you a much better
diver, dive buddy and allow you to enjoy your
diving more and to get more out of your diving.
Introduction:
The Intro to Tech
course introduces the students to the world of
technical diving. The course is designed as an
introductory course to TDI Advanced Nitrox course
and the TDI Decompression Procedure course.
The Objective:
To familiarize
students with technical gear configurations, to
enhance open water diving skills (such as
buoyancy, trim and situational awareness), and to
introduce students to advanced gas planning
techniques within a no-decompression context.
This course is strictly a no-decompression course;
students are permitted to use Enriched Air Nitrox
mixes, provided the gas mix is within their
current level of certification. This course will
lay a crucial foundation in a number of skill sets
that will greatly improve your diving ability.
Classes are limited in size to provide you with
exceptional personal instruction so don't wait to
sign up.
